For 2 years, 1 month and 16 days, I was absolutely convinced that I would never paint another aRtyDoG portrait.
I’m so glad I never deleted this website or my Facebook page... I thought about it many times, but somehow I never had the heart to do it.
And I want you to know that every time, I felt genuinely sorry to have to turn down your many requests.
But painting without being 100% committed to it, and simply doing it for the money, was IMPOSSIBLE for me, because behind every aRtyDoG there is a genuine purpose — one I remain true and loyal to.
Integrity is in my DNA.
Recently, I once again realised that, for some of you, the aRtyDoG portraits were still very much present in your minds and hearts — still very much ALIVE!
And I think that, somehow, you rekindled the flame in me. You made me want to start painting again!
I used this time away to take a step back and reflect...
I’ve come a long way, and it has helped me realise certain things and make peace with myself. Because sometimes, taking a step back is exactly what we need in order to move forward.
And the space this created gave me the opportunity to explore new paths. I needed that fresh start.
Since discovering animal communication, my absolute new passion (and by the way, I invite you to discover my website dedicated to it), I’ve become even more aware of the unique energy that aRtyDoG portraits carry.
There is a clear intention behind every portrait, and on many occasions I’ve seen how deeply that intention reaches your hearts and how it continues to resonate over time.
Distinctive, purposeful, precise and indelible. A visible trace of the emotions we share with our beloved companions.
These portraits are tributes to your animals, painted in my own way, as though they were some of the great figures of this world.
And they ARE the great ones of our world.
A tribute to who they are. To the love they give us and awaken within us. A tribute to the unbreakable bond we create with them...
The second reconciliation was changing the way I work, so that it better reflects who I am today and my lifestyle, as I now wear several professional hats.
I’ve swapped traditional paints and brushes for my tablet and a programme that simulates painting.
And no, it’s not AI!
After all, where would the joy of creating be if a robot did it for me? And AI simply doesn’t have access to the heart.
Every stroke, every movement, every intention is an act that comes from my heart. The energy infused into the portraits I created in the past and those I create today is exactly the same.
I’m still fulfilling the same mission: to honour your beloved companion, with my heart, my sensitivity and my artistic eye.
And to be completely transparent about this new way of working: once the portrait has been created on my tablet, I have it professionally printed for you by a specialist fine-art printer.
In short, I take care of everything for YOU!
The aRtyDoG are back — and honestly, I never expected this...
And that feels absolutely wonderful!
